Unable to adopt or foster at this time, but still want to help a kitty in need? There are many ways to help us help the most vulnerable cats & kittens that come our way.
F&F tries to help every needy cat, even though many of them are considered “non-adoptable” because of age, medical condition or temperament. We attempt to find “Permanent Foster” homes for these orphans and take care of them, providing food, veterinary care, litter, etc. for the rest of their lives.
Needless to say, our expenses far exceed our income.
You can become a Godpurrent to the cat of your choice for as little as $25.00 a month. Your money goes directly to the care of that cat. Your money is not used for administrative costs, postage or salaries.
In return for your generosity, the FELINES & FRIENDS Foster Family will send you anecdotes, information and updates on the condition of your little friend.

The Permanent Foster Program
Would you be able to foster a kitty?
These cats are members of our Permanent Foster program, and are looking for their furever fosters. Medical care for these cats will be covered by Felines & Friends for the duration of their lifetime as needed, along with supplies such as prescription food and medications.

Nicolette
Nicolette is a talkative gal with a beautiful black and white pattern. She enjoys head scratches and quiet companionship. Nicolette would like a home where she can rule the roost, without other kitties bothering her.

Dilly
Dilly is a special little girl with a goofy sweet personality.
Dilly’s Special Needs: Dilly has a spinal injury (low thoracic lumbar spinal cord lesion) that inhibits her ability to use her hind legs and will require ongoing treatment. Dilly has grown stronger with regular acupuncture, laser, and ultrasound therapy and exercise, but she is still unable to support her weight entirely or fully control her bodily functions.
Despite those challenges, Dilly is a playful kitty brimming with personality. This sweetheart will need a special home, probably without small children, dogs, or assertive cats.

Kitty Kiki
Kitty Kiki is a loving diva who doesn't mind sharing space with other kitties. Kitty Kiki truly loves people- don’t be surprised if she climbs up onto your shoulder the first time you meet her! Kitty Kiki has a big personality and is a huge fan of boxes.

Thor
THOR is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves head scratches and ear rubs. He has previously done well living with other cats and dogs. THOR is talkative and a huge cuddle bug! THOR is diabetic, which is now well-regulated.

“My husband and I became aware of Felines and Friends about 2 years ago, not long after we moved to Santa Fe. A few years prior our darling cat Cheyenne had passed away. We decided we really wanted to have a cat again, we have always had a least one cat even when growing up. We determined that we wanted to adopt an older cat because their chances at a second chance are so low.
We did research and discovered Felines and Friends and contacted them. We set up a meeting and there we met Keanu, a devastatingly handsome 18-year-old "house panther" with special needs. So, his age was against him and his illness was against him. But he has beautiful black fur and the prettiest green eyes, and a sweet, funny and loving personality. We were taken by him.
After talking with the fabulous people at Felines and Friends we learned that they would partner with a family or individual who would adopt a special needs cat by providing his needed medicine, any prescription food, and medical care. When I asked why they would do this it was explained that if one cat can go to live with a family what a wonderful thing that is.
We are in love with him and we are so grateful to Felines and Friends for having saved him and for the continuous support they provide to Keanu and us. Whenever a medical appointment is needed, or more prescription food or medication is needed, Felines and Friends are right there. I cannot say enough good things about Vivian, our Foster Coordinator. She is there and she cares.
